My name is Ellie and I am the aesthetic practitioner at Carelux clinic. I trained and qualified as a dental nurse registered with the GDC at Woodhouse Implants and Aesthetics. Once I completed my qualification I pursued my passion for facial aesthetics and have successfully completed several courses, including advanced training and master classes. Hyaluronic acid based filler is a gel like substance that can be used to restore and add volume to skin and facial contours, it can be used to plump and augment desired areas, and to fill facial lines, wrinkles or hollows.
Hyaluronic acid based filler is temporary, they can last anywhere between 3-18 months, depending on the area being injected, the type of filler being used and the patients anatomy and lifestyle. Hyaluronic acid based filler is also reversible and can be 'dissolved'. We offer filler dissolving treatment at the clinic.
This treatment is more commonly known as Botox (brand name). By injecting this toxin selectively in certain facial muscles we can reduce facial movement which when occurring repeatedly etches lines/wrinkles in our skin. Essentially it works by temporarily 'freezing' the injected muscles.
Final results are seen 2 weeks after treatment and last between 3-6 months.
Botulinum toxin type A is effectively used in 3 areas for anti-wrinkle treatments. One area is the Glabella (frown lines/inbetween the brows). The second area is the forehead and the third is the 'crows feet" (the smile lines which occur on the sides of our eyes.
By preventing and treating lines and wrinkles the skin appears smoother, more youthful and rejuvenated.
It is an effective treatment with very minimal pain and down time.

Skin boosters are hyaluronic acid based injectables. They can be used to rejuvenate the face, (including under eyes and lips) neck and decolletage.
Depending on the type of skin booster and area being treated. 2-3 sessions 4 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. Results last up to 6 months, maintenance treatments are then advised 1-2 times per year.
